Manor Houses
🎵 Audio guide
There are many beautiful, well-preserved corners of Acebo in which we can admire the traditional architecture but one which stands out is the Calle Cura. There are mansions and impressive large houses, especially on the left-hand side of the street as we walk uphill. With views of the Lágina valley, these mark the original limits of the village and have space behind them used as back gardens or for growing produce.
The curious visitor can admire impressive stonework and granite ashlar which incorporate openings topped with arches and large keystones or huge stone lintels. There are impressive worked granite window ledges and balconies with granite corbels.
